Led by male and female leaders Tamati Waaka and Puao Whauwhau the Eastern Bay of Plenty roopu took out the 2015 Duncan McIntyre Trophy at Putaringamotu (Hagley Park) Christchurch, and were crowned “Te Toa Whakuihuwaka” (overall aggregate winners)
Members of this roopu also performed at the National Maori Sports Awards in November 2014
