The investiture for Alan Chester was held at Government House, Wellington today, Thursday 11 September 2014, where Alan was presented with the “Officer of The New Zealand Order of Merit” (ONZM) medal by the Governor-General, Lt Gen The Rt Hon Sir Jerry Mateparae.
Alan was recognised for his services to sport, especially the game of tennis. For Te Tohu Taakaro o Aotearoa Charitable Trust, Alan has overseen the accuracy of PAYE, GST Payments and Returns, maintained an overview of cash flow and made appropriate recommendations to the trustees regarding financial stability and sustainability – all at no charge. His unselfish contribution has ensured the continued success and credibility of the Trust for the past 13 years of its 23 year existence.
