    Over the 12 months prior to the Māori Sports Awards Event (or later depending on National & International Events).

    While recipient names, rohe, age, Iwi, and scholarship will be publicised within the kaupapa of the Māori Sports Awards Events, the personal information requested in this application form will be used solely for the purposes of assessing your application for a Māori sports award. Administered by te Tohu Taakaro O Aotearoa Charitable Trust. Personal information contained in this application will be made available to members of the Judging Committee.

    Should you have reason to believe that information held about you in either your application or your academic record is incorrect, you have the right of access to, and correction of, that information, up until the point of destruction, if applicable.

    References from the persons you have named are obtained on the strict understanding that they are confidential, and you may not have access to those reports without the written authorisation of the author.

    The Awards Event recognizes sporting achievements from: 30 November 2023 - 1 November 2024 (or later depending on National & International Events)
    Closing date for receiving nominations is 1 November
    No late entries will be accepted
    A judging committee will select the finalists and recipients in each category and no correspondence will be entered into.
    Finalists will be announced on our website or by email.
    Recipients/finalists may be required to attend the awards ceremony (as displayed on our website). Two complimentary tickets, assistance towards travel and accommodation.
