8 time world champion canoe paddler, Lisa Carrington MNZM (Te Aitanga ā Māhaki, Ngāti Porou) took out the ‘Rongmaraeroa’ Māori Sportsperson of the year for a fifth time, and in the process took out the ‘Hineahuone’ Senior Māori Sportswoman Award for an incredible seventh time.
